Centralised control over agent settings

Centralised management of security policies
A system administrator can expand or limit the rights of individual users, a user group, or all user groups to control the agents. For example, the system administrator can:
- Allow users to change anti-virus settings.
- Restrict setting modification by users.
- Prohibit setting modification.
- Change which Dr.Web software components are installed on protected computers.
- Start jobs on protected computers.
- Force updates on agents that have not been updated for a long time.
- Force background scanning on protected computers.
Network installation (remote installation)
- Identify computers on the network that aren't protected by anti-viruses.
- Install Dr.Web remotely onto target computers, for example, by means of Active Directory services.
- The Network Scanner searches for computers by IP address in the local network and generates a hierarchical list of computers, indicating which of them have anti-virus software installed on them.

Make sure that the protected hosts are scanned for viruses regularly
The Dr.Web Control Center lets you centrally enforce a security policy for conducting regular scans:
- Start/stop scanning on remote hosts without interfering with the user experience.
- Specify scan paths.
- Specify any necessary group and individual scan schedules, i.e. scan the system at a time convenient for employees.
Restrict access network-wide to removable data storage media
The restriction of access to removable devices is centrally configured in the Dr.Web Control Center.

- Define the files and folders on the local network to which an employee may have access, and prohibit access to those that are off-limits.
